  • Notes
    • C.H. and W.H. Whitney have lately received a history on the Whitney family, from the reign of William the Conqueror down to the present. It seems that the prog. of this family in America arrived here in 1620, from which time the history contains the lineal descendants both by the male and female line. It is bound in three large and handsome volumes and makes a very valuable acquisition to their family libraries. [7]
